August 7, 2016 - Much time has been spent behind the scenes working on the Bricklin Distribution Page 1 page. Went over about 242 Bricklin Build Scheduling Orders, one VIN Bricklin per page, and oragnized them by distribution to the dealer. Some overlapped and confirmed information on the Bricklin Factory Distribution List, others are later VIN Bricklins not on the Factory Distribution List, some are new dealers to states already listed, and some are to dealers that were not on the relatively common Bricklin Dealers List. These dealers that do not appear on states already listed, were later addtions, that received Bricklins in the final months of production. The Bricklin Distribution Page 1 page will be updated with the VIN number Bricklins and dealers as time allows. For today August 7, 2016, I did add dealers from 6 new states: Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, Colorado, and Washington, as well as the dealers in those states and which Bricklins they received. This one looks quite original, and a good photo of the door data plate. Factory records show the 519 was built as Safety White SV-1. However photos viewed today, show door data plate ( color code 3 ) and photos show a Safety Orange and acrylic body VIN 519. On the Production Each Bricklin SV-1 Page and Numbers Built Page, VIN 519 has been changed to a Safety Orange Bricklin SV-1 as factory built. On the Numbers Built Page, 1974 Safety White Automatic Bricklins revised from 223 to 222. Safety Orange Automatic Bricklins revised from 121 to 122. Note: decades ago I saw VIN 518 in person. As I walked up to view it, it was white. Upon looking at the dash data plate it was a Safety Orange Automatic Bricklin as factory built ( color code 3 ), and had been painted white. Factory records show VIN 518, originally built as a Safety Orange Automatic Bricklin SV-1. May 29, 2019 - Links Page and Bricklins Remembered Page updated. June 24, 2022 - VIN 623 Page added to the site. Factory records show 623 being built as a 1974 Safety Orange Bricklin with an automatic transmission.
