According to the Factory Build Records, VIN 623 was originally built as a 1974 Bricklin SV-1 with an automatic transmission.
This month, June 2022, I came across the owner of VIN 623 and he claimed it was an 1974 Orange 4 Speed. He was very
kind and offered photos to prove VIN 623 was an Original 1974 Safety Orange 4 speed. The photos of VIN 623 on this page of
courtesy of Doug Brown. Many thanks to Doug Brown for graciously helping me to verify that VIN 623 was built as
a 1974 Safety Orange 4 Speed. Shown below the photos of VIN 623 are 3 photos of the Factory Build History of VIN 623,
and some of the Bricklins built before and after it. In this area on the long VIN numbers all the cars are marked with an "A"
for the transmission type, which is not correct, however to the right is the color number, and letter for the transmission type.
As you can see, on the Factory Records, VIN 616 - VIN 622 are marked as Orange 4 Speeds, VIN 623 is marked as an Orange
Automatic, and VIN 624 and 625, are Orange 4 Speeds. After looking at the door data plate and photos of VIN 623, I am convinced
it was originally built as an Orange 4 Speed. Adjustments made on this Bricklin Build History to reflect this. Many thanks to
